I can't unsee this

I am writing this, and it will probably be short (though who knows) because I want to be able to sleep tonight.

Planned Parenthood, with all of their genocidal tendencies, is a teetotaler compared to Kermit Gosnell, or rather DR. Kermit Gosnell.

The movie points out that his trial was about the murder of a woman and children that were born alive, breathing, moving limbs, and crying, until their lives were cut short by a pair of scissors to the spinal cord.  It was not about abortion.  Having said that.

The movie takes transcripts from the Grand Jury, and from the trial itself.  They tried very hard to be precise in their depiction of what was going on at Kermit's place.  By that I mean, besides the filth, cats and everything that comes with them, medical waste in the refrigerator, on the floor, in the basement.  Staff that were administering drugs with no training other than received at the "clinic".  Oh, I mean administering drugs AND performing abortions.  Dr. Gosnell stated that laws that require some level of certification were racist.  No remorse.  He was "helping" these women.  The trial wasn't going well for the prosecution, and there is one of the big hits.

The prosecutor put an OB-GYN on to testify about the 24 week law prohibiting abortion after, except life of the mother.  She did so, but on cross had to describe partial birth abortion.  Including what happens to babies that are born alive, in spite of everything.  This was brutal to me, she said that the nurses held the baby until it died, or passed.  The Defense attorney pointed out that what Dr. Gosnell did was far more merciful than letting a baby die.  Late term abortion, which one party defends, if not outright approves of, is a curse on this nation.  We will have to answer to God why this barbarity is allowed to happen, under the auspices of the law.

What turned it around?  One of the workers had taken a picture of the baby known as "Baby A".  Post analysis estimated the baby's age at 32 weeks.  The baby was so big that Dr. Gosnell joked that it was so big it could walk him (the Doctor) to the bus stop.  And then he killed him.  This picture was shown to the jury as well as the media who finally showed up, and it pretty much sealed Dr. Gosnell's fate.  Thankfully, no gore was shown in the movie.  But if you want to have your heart broke, you can see the picture at http://gosnellmovie.com/  and hit resources, at the bottom is a link to the picture, and the link has another link with a warning of the graphic nature of the picture.  You can't unsee it.

The silence of the coverage was deafening.  Kirsten Powers wrote an op-ed in USA Today blasting the media for their silence.  Kirsten is a true blue progressive, except on abortion.  Here is the link to her article   https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2013/04/10/philadelphia-abortion-clinic-horror-column/2072577/

I think more than anything else, that is what is eating at me about this movie.  In the credits, they show actual pictures from the crime scene and trial. Final tally for Gosnell.  3 1st degree murders, involuntary manslaughter for Karnamaya Mongar, 21 felony counts of illegal late term abortions, and 200 counts for violating the 24 hour informed consent law.  He agreed not to appeal in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table.

See it.  Tell your friends to see it.  (not young kids) Have a friend that is pro-choice?  Challenge them to see it, with an open mind. It is an important movie.
