Ten years ago today.

Has it been that long? Yes, otherwise, I wouldn't have stated it. Ten years ago, I wrote a small blurb and the View from the Rim was born.

It started with a desire to do more than a lengthy Facebook post that no one would read, by just sharing the link, and those that would want to, would do so.

The View was different back then, incorporating the political, the philosophical, and the spiritual. I have grown a lot since then. The View split into two, with the political going to the Snake River Lib, and only occasional visits on the View platform.

Then, of course, an evolution took place, as the View and the Lib mostly went into podcast format, with only sporadic writing. This was done at the request of two specific individuals that preferred the listening platform.

Truthfully, I had far more readers on both the blogs than I did people listening. not sure why that was, it doesn't matter, those that were faithful to the brands had spoken, and am glad to comply. My preference, would be to write, as I can look at what I am writing, correct and wordsmith it to say what I mean, precisely. I could do editing on the podcasts, but prefer not to, allowing my feelings to come through in a much more raw format. Does that mean I will never be a huge podcast influencer? Likely, but I don't do it for clicks, and while I do do it in podcast a certain individuals' requests, I do it because I enjoy it, because I feel that what I have to say may be important. Certainly in the case of the View, it is critical. A voice crying out to all who would hear.

Since the beginning, which was in a converted motor inn room in Twin Falls, I have retired from my .gov job, earned a Bachelor's Degree, a Master's, and am working on a Doctorate. I have moved back to Paola, and have taken on a number of roles, including serving on the Camp Geiger Staff of Scouting America.

Most posts on the View have been more of a spiritual nature, though I think some of my best had to do with my Camp Staff experiences, including the post where Hell froze over.

The question becomes, what more do I share? What would you, the reader, like to see, or hear, if you tune into the podcast? More of the same, or a different path?

This week will be a wreck for me. School starting, working, and Wood Badge Staff. All of which I am honored and pleased to continue, it is just prioritizing.

I was asked once if I needed help with why priorities. In fact, did a podcast on it. I don't, I don't think, but am open to opinions.

Not a long one, as I did a podcast with a completely different topic, but just wanted to note the anniversary in the written word.

If you have been a long time, or first time reader, thank you!
