Where we should stand.
There is a reference toward the end regarding a symbol similar to the Star of David Jews wore during the Nazi terror. No inference should be made to compare the wearing of a similar item to the Holocaust.
Where we should stand
“Rights have to exist in practice — not just on paper...Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will … And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed." Hillary Clinton
If you read the earlier post regarding the rewrite of history by progressives on what our law, Constitution, and Declaration of Independence are based on (natural law, rights from God, or Creator, if you will), this should be even more alarming. A major party candidate for the nomination has come out and stated that beliefs have to change. There is only one problem; has God changed?
For God to be just, He has to be the same yesterday, today, and forever. If He can't change, then believers have no choice, if they follow Him, but to not adapt their beliefs to the times. Now someone told me about how Christ came and did away with the law. No, not exactly, if anything, He increased the requirements, from "Thou shalt not murder" to not even harboring anger towards another, and so on. If you believe in an unchanging God, then there can be no support for a candidate that tells you you have to change your beliefs. That really is the bottom line.
Religion is being forced to the back of the bus. It is not allowed to address moral issues of the day. Issues like abortion and same sex marriage. No one is insisting that their morals be forced on another, though that idea is ridiculous. (murder, theft, perjury, and destruction of property, all moral judgments) I think that all most people want is to be allowed to live their lives, and practice their faith without interruption. Of course there are individuals who do not feel that way, but I would say that is a two way street. Don't believe me? See how the militant gay groups are using government to show their tolerance toward bakers, florists, photographers, pizza restaurants. All under GOVERNMENT attack for simply exercising their inalienable right. What is next? YELLOW CROSSES?
Oh, one last thing. It is really interesting to me that a candidate who would scream from the rooftops separation of church and state, would make a statement regarding the state making people change their religious beliefs. Wonder how one responds to that. Oh yeah. YELLOW CROSSES on your coat, shirt, etc. Are we there yet? No, but we are on our way. Then the question will be, do we choose to wear and live our principles or not?
