Do you "Follow" Him?

I was having a discussion the other night, and we were talking about the importance of developing good prayer habits.  We talked about how God is always listening, and I mean ALWAYS!

I am probably on Facebook too much.  Besides Facebook, I do have a Twitter thing, and I write this blog, as well as my alter ego writing the political one. I also love email.  I use them as tools to communicate.  I am not a fan of phone calls, and even though I usually don't initiate conversations,  I end up talking too much when people get me started.   By the way, when I start getting into subjects you don't like, or care about, shut me up!  Maybe that is why I hate the phone.   I won't take offense. I promise.    Probably the use of  non oral communications allows me to formulate, and think before hitting send, or enter.

Sorry, went on a little rabbit trail, for a second.

Any way, while we were talking, I came up with this idea.  Let me know what you think about the comparison.

How about if we were to say there was a "Heavenly" Facebook?  Think about it.  We record many events in our lives on it, (well, all on the the Heavenly version)  we can try to put an impression of us that may or may not be true.  And we have ways to communicate like "Messenger"  Have you ever gotten on line to see if someone was on?  Yes, we could pick up the phone, but why do that, when we can just Message?  I love to get on, and see if there is anyone that I want to chat with.  I try to respect people's time, and so don't bother most people.  There are a few people, however, if I see them on, may ping them.  No answer?  No problem.

As we live our real lives, outside of our virtual lives, we have relationships, and some of them are good, and some of them are not as good.  We all make choices in our lives.  Sometimes, as a result of the choices we make, we may choose to not ping someone, or maybe ignore a message from them.  Chances are probably good that you have done that, I know that I have.  It is sad, in a way.  We are mortals.  We make mistakes, and so we may feel like people don't WANT to talk to us.  Well, here is the thing.

If there was a Heavenly Facebook, and you were on it, God would always show "green" on messenger.  He is always there. Waiting.  Waiting for you to take a step, and send Him a message.  Of course, there may be times when He will share a message to you.  To help you, to get you to move closer to Him.  He won't judge.  Not now.  His light is always shining.  You just have to look.

Unlike us imperfect mortals, though, He will always respond to a call from one of His children.  He knows your feelings, He knows your pain.  He knows your needs.  He just wants you to have that faith to ask.  Not even faith, just a desire to believe.  For all practical purposes, there is nothing you can do that will cause Him to not respond.

He is "active" now on Messenger.  What are you going to do?
