The rights of the children? you have no place to say that.
I should be doing homework, but I am so troubled by this shooting in Florida. Of course, immediately after the shooting, the usual progressive politicians, (all of whom seem to be in the same party) started calling for gun control. Started asking when will this end. They give lip service to "the right to bear arms" found in the Constitution, (which they don't believe exists, incidentally) and then ask "But what about the rights of the children to be safe at school?"
So, the only way to achieve what the gun banners want is to start in one corner of the country, and with the military searching every home, using sonar equipment to cover every square inch of land to insure that there are no weapons buried. Once they have sterilized an area, they have to have checkpoints in and out as they expand their search. Can you imagine the cost?
Guns are tools. They are not good, or evil. In the hands of someone defending their life, it is a great equalizer. They protected blacks in the South after the Civil War from lynchings, and harassment. (The NRA helped protect them, and their rights to own firearms, FYI) A woman alone is normally at a physical disadvantage against a male attacker, especially in areas where guns are banned, or severely limited. In areas where that is not the case, even the threat of a firearm with a woman would cause an attacker to think twice.
I just wanted to set this up to talk about the big lie of progressives. Wonder why people seem to discard life? Where killing really has no meaning? Of course video games, psychotropic drugs, prescribed, or otherwise, add to this feeling, but what about this. Camille Paglia, a writer for the very progressive Salon.com and speaker called this the biggest lie of the Democrats.
She said that those who claim to be pro-choice are fooling themselves. Make no mistake, she is about as pro-abortion as they come. (She also feels that homosexuality may be an evolution to limit the population of mankind, and, is transgender, but doesn't claim to be a man, she is a woman.) She admits that when it comes to morality, the pro-lifers have the high ground, because abortion kills a living human being. People using the term pro-choice being called liars. Good call Camille.
And you know what else? After the first trimester, the American public overwhelmingly supports bans on elective abortions. They see it for the destruction of humanity that it is. You know what else? All but 7 countries in the developed world agree with that.
You know what else? More black babies are killed in New York City by abortion than are born. If it weren't abortion, we would call it what it is, if we had the guts. GENOCIDE. The Klan would be proud. Every Civil Rights Leader from the 60s was pro-life. They recognized this abomination for what it is. Many of those that are still alive are no longer pro-life, but pro-abortion. They had to, to keep a seat at the table of the Democrat Party. Tragic.
Sixty million since Roe vs. Wade. Sixty million lives snuffed. In the 24 hours since the shooting, over 1,800 babies lives have been terminated. That is according to the CDC, hardly a right wing site. (Daily average, not an actual 2/14/18 stat)
Maybe this lack of respect of life has taken the value of life out of our society?
