A powerful message, gospel choir style.

Continuation of the Star Child series.  This song is my favorite.  What love can do.  Harold has gotten engaged to Mitzy, who was so shy, that she couldn't look anyone in the eye, and has blossomed like a rose.   Wally is down, as Marie has shunned him, and he doesn't know what to do.  Harold breaks into the song:

Love for a day, can blow the clouds away
Yes that’s what love can do it’s true

Love, and a smile, it can make life worthwhile
Yes, that’s what love can do, what love can do.

Now some say, we never change, yet flowers bloom in the rain
And people do the same, when there’s love
So give all you can, it’s part of the plan,
And see what love can do, what love can do

They then have a discussion, where Harold teaches a very important truth.  Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder, and given that when that beauty is recognized, it often manifests itself to all.  Who hasn't noticed the radiance of someone that is loved?

Wally: Green, you gotta help me, if it’s not Marie, then who?
Harold: Let me see your checklist,
W: My checklist, why?
H: Do you want my help, or do you want to become a ministering angel?
W: Okay
H:  Okay, first a readjustment of priorities. Physical beauty, for example which you have at the top, goes right to the bottom, all the spiritual qualities, like intelligence, and a testimony, move to the top.
W: Can’t I have a little beauty?
H: Courage brother, the field is white, now go on.

Love, when there’s pain, can bring the sunshine again,
Yes that’s what love can do, it’s true.

Love, when you’re feeling small, it can make you feel tall,
Yes that’s what love can do, what love can do.

Now some say we never change, yet winter turns into spring.
Let us wait, and see, when there’s love
So give all you can, it’s part of the plan
And see what love
See what love

See what love, can do, what love can do.

I love the lyrics, the message that it brings.  I find myself singing this and other songs all the time.  I was thinking that I am not writing very much, just copying the words of Doug Stewart, but the words express my feelings way better than I ever could.
