Is it I?

Of course those well versed in the Bible will recognize the words uttered by the apostles at the Last Supper (Matthew 26:22 KJV).  However, my intent tonight is not to single out such murderous betrayal, rather it is to seek out the one in need.  To #LighttheWorld for an individual.

No, I am not going to make it easy and name you.  After all, while it is likely directed at an individual, it is written so that any number of people could ask "Is it I".  And I would answer.  "Yes, it is" to you that I am writing.

This world is a wonderful creation.  God created it for us that we may be happy.  The beauty is a gift to all, but to those with an eye of faith, we see God's hand in every single feature.  It was created with purpose, far greater than just enjoying the beauty, and understanding that is crucial for when everything isn't gumdrops and unicorns.

To those that don't understand the "why" in this world, it can seem a very drab place.  Sickness, war, famines, natural calamities, and so on can challenge even those with strong faith.  We ask, why God, if you exist, does all this happen.  My point isn't to answer that question here, but I have previously, and no doubt will again.  We may suffer some form of mental illness such as depression, or anxiety.  We may have some physical malady.  Perhaps we have feelings that don't comport with religious teachings, and wonder why.  These are not signs of a lack of faith, they are part of mortality.  Sometimes we just need to know that we are loved, and that we are not alone. You aren't.

So to the one to whom I am writing, I would just say that you are loved.  Loved by a Father in Heaven that wants you to return to his presence.  Not enough for you?  Maybe your faith hasn't been exercised, and now doubt that relationship?  There are many that I know that if they are reading this, that they are loved by me, not that that means anything, of course, but it does mean you aren't alone.

Is it you?  Yes, of course it is.  How I wish I could have some magical answer that would cause you to reach out to Christ.  I don't, except this.  No matter where you (the one) are in your stage of life, if you look for the light of Christ, you will see it.  No darkness can prevent it, if you look even with a glimmer of hope.  Christ will reach out to you.  As soon as you take those tiny first steps of faith to call on him, He will be there.  He is waiting for you.

You know, you are family to me, the one.  Narrows it down?  Maybe. But then, I consider a lot of people family that are not related to me, per say.

In our lives we have many friends.  We may have "church" friends, "work" friends, or "some other activity" friends.  We have family.  While we may put people in groups, usually our relationships are with individuals.  That is how God knows us as well.  He knows us by name, he knows the pains we suffer, some self inflicted, some just part of mortality.  He knows those things because he knows us.  He wants to help ease that burden, and while it may be a burden we have to carry for our life, he can help lighten the load.

He lightens that load by sending his angels, usually friends or family.  While some may be really in tune to know of your need, some of us may need to know of your pain, your suffering.

Working together, we can spread His light to the world, one person at a time.

Please feel free to share.  No it isn't to attract ads, but to spread the light.

Please, just  #LighttheWorld
